Search the MLS

90% of the available homes on the market in Chicagoland are listed by sellers (through their agent) on the Multiple Listing Service of Northern Illinois, or what we call the MLS. The MLS is updated every day with new homes for sale, price reductions, and changes in the status of an existing listing (for example, if a home has been placed under contract). This means that the MLS provides the most current and detailed information on homes for sale in Chicagoland.

In short, the MLS is the best place to search for a home and the starting point for any homebuyer. In fact, most of the homes advertised by realtors in the newspaper or on their own web sites are also on the MLS. The only difference is that the listings on the MLS are updated in real-time, whereas the homes in the Sunday newspaper are often already under contract by the time Sunday rolls around.
